Deep Sea Systems has designed and manufactured
industry leading ROVs for more than twenty years.
These products have included the Max Rover series, the
Omni Max series and the Mini Max. Although these ROVs are not in regular production at this time, DSSI
does support them and can upgrade their
systems.
In 2004, in a joint project, DSSI and
the University of South Florida designed and built the
world's most advanced port security
ROV. The
Sea Max MK1 Port Security ROV
is capable of inspecting ships' hulls and port
facilities in zero visibility, black water conditions.
It is equipped with the most sophisticated optical and
acoustical imaging systems. Data is broadcast
live to a shore side command center for real time
monitoring and intervention.
DSSI's
Global
Explorer ROV system is a unique underwater
science and survey tool that has demonstrated
outstanding performance in high resolution digital and
HDTV imaging and geological and biological sampling.
It is extremely reliable and it is capable of precise
maneuvering in shallow
and deep water operations. The Global Explorer has
made numerous dives
exceeding 9000'.
