The MAX Light with a quartz halogen filament is made of the same super efficient polyurethane / titanium oxide reflector and hard coat anodized aluminum housing as the light head supplied with the MAX Light HID-200 gas arc lighting package. Only the lamp, the lamp socket and the connector differ between a light head with a quartz halogen filament lamp and one with an HID gas arc lamp.  Quartz halogen filament lamps from 50 to 250 watts can be used in the MAX Light.

For general illumination, quartz halogen filament lighting meets most requirements.  For high volume, long range illumination, HDTV or standard video, and still color photography, HID gas arc lighting is a superior choice.
