8000 SERIES THRUSTERS

The SEA MAX TH-8000 Thruster is the result of over 20 years of deep ocean engineering experience in the design and manufacture of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). The TH-8000 Thruster is based on the proven design of the THL-404-8 Thruster, yet it is much more powerful, providing up to 635 pounds of thrust. Like the THL-404-8 Thruster, it is extremely reliable, even in the demanding underwater environment and during long, continuous use. It is a true brushless servo motor thruster that permits very exact output power regulation and is therefore ideal for use with precision feedback systems such as Autodepth and Autoheading.

The SEA MAX TH-8000 Thruster is powered and controlled by an electronic drive module (EDM). The EDM is a DriveBlok Series 2000.  It connects directly to the thruster and is powered from an AC or DC power source over a range of voltages. The DriveBlok does not require that a resolver be installed in the thruster for motor commutation.
